Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and PixelPioneer, LLC (“we”, “us”, “CrawlSpec”), governing your access to and use of crawlspec.dev and the CrawlSpec workspace (the “Service”). By creating an account you accept the version of these Terms stamped on your account at signup, currently version 2026-09-09. If we make a material change to these Terms, we will ask existing accounts to accept the new version before continuing to use the Service.

What the Service does

CrawlSpec crawls a website you tell it to, catalogs its URLs and resources, evaluates them against a fixed catalog of SEO issue checks, and turns the result into prioritized, implementation-ready recommendations and content briefs. The Service is recommendation-only: it never edits or publishes anything on your site, nor otherwise modifies any page on any site it crawls. Everything it produces - issue findings, recommendations, content briefs, reports - is an editable artifact for a human on your side to arrange and finish, then hand to your team or your own AI tools to act on.

Your attestation

Before CrawlSpec will crawl a domain, you must attest that you own that domain or are otherwise authorized to have it crawled. We record who made that attestation and when. You are solely responsible for the truth of that attestation and for any consequence of crawling a domain you were not authorized to crawl. We may refuse, pause, or stop a crawl at any time, including in response to a complaint from the domain's owner or operator.

Free scans

We offer a free audit of a single site, requested at /free-seo-audit with no account. Requesting one is making the same attestation as above: the form shows you one sentence saying you own the site or are authorized to have it audited and that we will crawl up to 25 public pages while respecting robots.txt, and we record that sentence, the time and the address you gave, exactly as shown to you. You are solely responsible for the truth of it.

A free scan reads at most 25 pages at depth 2 and always obeys robots.txt. We may refuse, delay or stop any request for any reason, including rate limits, a complaint from the site's operator, or the domain already belonging to a CrawlSpec workspace. A free scan is not part of any plan: it carries no support commitment and no availability commitment, its report expires after 14 days, and we may pause the offer at any time. Everything the Disclaimer section below says about the Service applies to it in full.

If we crawled a site you operate and you did not authorize it, the crawler page has both a removal request that a person answers and a self-serve block that needs no account. What we keep from a free scan, and how to delete it, is in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You will not use the Service to crawl a domain you have not attested to, to circumvent a rate limit or a platform-level block on a domain, or to use the Service's output to harm, harass, or deceive the operator of a crawled site. The Service always identifies itself with the CrawlSpecBot user agent and always respects a crawled site's robots.txt; there is no setting, for any customer, that overrides robots.txt. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates this section.

Plans and fair-use limits

The Service is offered on the Pro plan ($39/month or $390/year, billed to a workspace, covering up to 5 projects and 5 seats, with a 2,000-page cap per crawl) and on a Custom plan for larger workspaces (contact us for pricing; today's Custom workspaces run up to 50 projects, 25 seats, and a 5,000-page cap per crawl). These limits are enforced by the Service itself, not only stated here, and may change with notice through the Service or by email. A workspace with no active subscription can view its existing data but cannot start new crawls, briefs, or other billable work.

Founding 50

The first 50 workspaces to subscribe on the yearly Pro plan through our Founding 50 offer pay $195/year - 50% off the standard $390/year price - for as long as that subscription stays continuously active. Letting the subscription lapse, for any reason, ends the discounted rate permanently; resubscribing afterward is at the then-current price, and the Founding 50 slot is not returned to the pool. The offer is limited to the first 50 redemptions and may end without notice once claimed.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, as chosen) until you cancel. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page in your workspace, which opens Stripe's own Customer Portal. Canceling stops future billing at the end of the current period; it does not itself entitle you to a refund - see our Refund Policy for that.

Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if your account is used for abuse or unauthorized crawling, or if required by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; data retention after termination is described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that following a CrawlSpec recommendation will improve your search ranking, traffic, or any other outcome - the Service reports what it finds and suggests fixes; it does not control how a search engine ranks any page. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. A material change bumps the version number and asks existing accounts to accept it before continuing to use the Service. The version you accepted, and when, is recorded on your account.
